Honestly... buttons all day everyday. I feel the same about tv remotes... touchscreens on everything... everywhere we have been robbed of buttons. (so glad you enjoyed!!)
Echoing everyone's love for this new format! Took away so many recommendations from this, especially the review from the archives. Need to add World's Fair to my wishlist asap!!
Loved this style of a post! And what a smart move getting a dictaphone. Considering everything you do book related, I think it’s probably a game changer for you. Also thank you so much for the lovely mix of recommendations and interesting things to read from other creators as well. ♥️
Ah so glad you enjoyed. The dictaphone really has been such a game changer! I'm getting mercilessly ribbed by anyone who sees me with it but it's worth it. (Also aren't the illustrations soooo beautiful. I love how 'of the moment' they are as well. I feel like it's difficult to pinpoint how that might look for the illustrations of the twenty-first century!)
Catching up on your posts and read your essay on DFW, plus the click-thru to the piece by the fellow who fell out of love with him. Found your review to be brilliant. I could never make it through Infinite Jest—finally donated it last week in culling my library. I enjoy all kind of novels and writers but he creeped me out with his obsessiveness, which to me was on the verge of insanity. Thank you for helping me understand why I never took to him, with one exception—his commencement speech at Kenyon.
Loved reading this today, like a casual but well curated update from an old friend 🫶 And had a little chuckle on “buttons!!! I need buttons!”
Hehe, same 😄

I love this format and am sooo obsessed with the dictaphone - I fear I NEED one.
It has truly rocked my world haha

Yes I think you would really enjoy it! And yay, I'm glad you liked the new format, too.
The Poetry Corner and Review from the Archives are such brilliant ideas! Can't wait to read more soon x
Thank you ❤️ so glad you liked it
That vintage story time treasury!! One of the most beautiful picture books I’ve ever seen. 😍😍
